Something like the Google Hispanic College Fund is clearly for Hispanics. Global community scholarship is a title which is a bit vaguer. Google has noticed a lack of women in the computer workforce. This is why they have scholarships like the Anita Borg Scholarship which are designed just for women. This scholarship is open to the United States, Europe and Australian students. It is designed to try to encourage women to work in the lucrative field of computer science and technology.
