Every year Intel awards over $1.25 million in awards and scholarships in the Intel Science Talent Search. This is a unique opportunity for all high school seniors who are looking for a career in science and math. Those who have won the award over the past 69 years it has been in existence have gone on to win such things as Nobel Prizes.

How to Enter

The first thing you will need to do to enter is to fill out the application form which can be downloaded from http://www.societyforscience.org/sts. You will then need to prepare for what you will say to the judges should you be chosen. The Deadline for the entry is on November, 18 2010. Judges will select a winner after the initial Talent Search has run its course.

How Much You Can Earn

The whole point of the Intel Science Talent Search is to give students the chance to concentrate on their curriculum. This is why the top prize for the scholarship is $100,000. This is more than enough to pay for a four year college program at even the most prestigious colleges.

There are various other awards for the next 39 finalists which range from $75,000 to $7500. All finalists will receive a new laptop, a free trip to Washington D.C., a chance to meet the president or vice president and a chance to network with leading scientists from the top technical companies.

  1. I just wanted to note that 100,000 is not “more than enough” to pay for a four year college program at some colleges if you don’t get financial aid (it can cost $50,000 a year).
