There are many great scholarships available to those who have an interest and raising and caring for animals in Massachutes. For those who care for and raise rabbits there are scholarships to rewards them for their dedication to these animals. These scholarships also encourage young people to get an education which will further the field of livestock in general.

New England Scholarship

The Northeast Rabbit and Cavy Conventions Inc. Youth Scholarship Foundation offers scholarships each year to one high school senior that raises rabbits or other similar livestock. This scholarship is designed to recognize those who have shown dedication to this type of work and are planning to attend college to pursue a career related to the progression of the field of livestock.

Qualifications for the Scholarship

In addition to raising livestock applications for this scholarship need to be enrolled to attend a two or four year college the following fall semester. Students can not have an immediate family member on the committee which selects the NERCC scholarship award winners. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 and submit their SAT or ACT scores, and high school transcripts. They must also submit a letter of recommendation from someone outside of their immediate family.

Instead the organizations only accepts applications which are obtained directly from their office location on Norton, Massachutes or from an office committee member for this scholarship.
