Ohio Mini Rex Scholarship

Students whop live in the state of Ohio and raise the specialty breed of rabbit called the Mini Rex can join the Ohio Mini Rex Rabbit Club, or OMRC. This club is a chartered regional specialty breed club of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. The students who have a membership to the club are eligible to apply for an annual scholarship offered by the club.

The OMRC Scholarship

The annual OMRC scholarship is awarded to a student member who meets all of the scholarship qualification guidelines and been selected by the OMRC scholarship committee. The scholarship is $500 and can only be used towards college expenses. The amount of the scholarship is only paid out after the OMRC receives official confirmation that the winning student has enrolled in college for the following fall semester term.

Scholarship Qualifications

Scholarship applicants must be inn their senior year of high school or in their first year of college and have been a member of the OMRC for three consecutive years. The three years of members must have been continuous and the applicants must also currently be active in the breeding and showing Mini Rex Rabbits. Proof of such activity must be submitted along with the official scholarship competition application.

The application for the scholarship can be obtained from the official OMRC website. All applications must be complete in order to be considered. Any incomplete scholarships will be immediately disqualified. The application must be turned in by May 31st of the year which the applicant is submitting the scholarship for .
