There are different things which can happen to a woman which can cause them to have to raise a child or more than one child on their own. For those who are left raising one or more children after a divorce or a death, times can be especially hard. It can be difficult to the money that you will need to be able to go to college. This is why the Women in Transition Scholarship was created.

About the Scholarship

The total amount of the scholarship is worth $16,000 This is enough to be able to pay your entire college tuition at most accredited colleges. You will be able to pay attention to the degree that you are going to college for rather than going to work. This will allow you to be able to spend time with your children rather than working at a job so that you will be able to pay the tuition or pay for the housing expenses.

Getting the Scholarship

The first thing you will have to do is to get the scholarship and attach all necessary documents. You will have to turn everything in by May 1st 2011 in order to be considered for the scholarship. You will need to mail in the application to:
