Getting money for biology research is not always easy to get. This is because of more than just the difficulty of being able to find the right funding. The good news is there are people like the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab REU Program available. This is a program which helps research students get the money that they will need in order to get their research done without having to worry about things like tuition, room and board or other expenses.

What You Will Get

If you are awarded the scholarship you will be able to earn a $4,250 stipend. This is on top of a $600 award for travel costs. You will also be given the money that you need to be able to pay for tuition, room and board. This way you will not have to do anything but concentrate of the research that you are committed to.

Getting the Scholarship

In order to get the scholarship, you will need to have intellectual as well as mental maturity in combination with an ability to do hard work as needed. The board welcomes and encourages those from a minority background to apply for the scholarship due to underrepresentation in the field of biology. These include those who are Black, Hispanic and Native American. You must be an undergraduate when you apply. You can find the application at http://www.rmbl.org/education.
