Being able to go to college is a dream for some. For many this dream falls short because of the lack of funds the family has to be able to send them to college. This is enough to dash the dreams of many hoping to go to theological school to become a priest in the United Methodist Church. The good news is that the church itself is willing to help you to get the money that you need to be able to go to college.

What You Need

Pretty much the only requirement you will need in order to go to college through this scholarship is that you are a Methodist. You will also need to declare a major in Theology or Religion in order to get the scholarship. This is a scholarship which is intended for those in the undergraduate program at the school of religion that they choose. It provides you with $1,000 to be able to go to college.

Where to Apply

In order to be able to get the scholarship, you will need to put in a scholarship application by May 1. You can obtain an application and more information about the scholarship by contacting the scholarship board for the Methodist College at:
