There are many musicians out there who would like to make a career out of their music. Not all want to join a rock band. For those who want to be in a symphony orchestra, you will need to go to college. This can be difficult as not everyone has the money to be able to go to college. This is why many different organizations have been creating funds to help musicians go to college.

The Scholarship

The American Symphony Orchestra League (ASOL) has been asked by the Sphinx Organization to oversee the Music Assistance Fund for those who deserve to go to college to study music. This is why many have been able to go to college simply through their talent. To date, the fund has been responsible for over 1,500 musicians going to college and going on to great careers in the music industry. The fund is intended to help minorities to be able to go to college.

Getting Paid

In order to help you pay for college, all semi-finalists will be able to get the $3500 scholarship. In order to be considered you will have to download the application from http://www.sphynxmusic.org/programs/maf.html. You will need to turn the application in before 11/10/2010. Those who are chosen will be able to go on to rewarding careers in the field that they really want to work in. Click on the link above to find even more great scholarships.
