Peace and goodwill towards mankind is more than just wishful thinking to many people around the world. This is because the politics of goodwill have done more to broker peace than anything else. This is just one of the reasons why the Rotary Foundation has made it their mission to promote goodwill through their ambassadorial scholarship program which they have used ever since 1947 to give educational scholarships to those headed to college.
Academic Year Scholarship
The most popular of the ambassadorial scholarships is the Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarship. This will provide you with $26,000. This money is to provide you with the funds necessary to travel to another country and pay for tuition and housing as well as any other expenses you might have along the way. While the scholarship is based in US dollars, it will be distributed in the equivalent which is established for the country you will be traveling to.
Additional Opportunities
If you are not able to qualify for the Academic year scholarship of the local rotary district does not support the program, there are other scholarships available. Such things as the District Designation Fund (DDF) will help you to get the money you need to go to college through district funding including donations made by district members and those from outside of the district as well. There are still more programs which are available to help promote peace through the Rotary Foundation. Click on the link above to find even more great scholarships.
